Our food scientists are creating delicious products at cost-parity with conventional meat"”with added consumer health, sustainability, and animal welfare value propositions.Executive *We are seeking an experienced food and beverage industry professional to augment our Executive Team, build-out commercialization strategy, and manage all customer-facing aspects of the business. Alt-protein industry experience not required or preferred.*Advise Chief Executive Officer and Board of Directors on commercialization strategy;Manage commercial face of the company (sales leadership, marketing oversight, customer relationship management, business development, etc.);Collaborate with Chief Product Officer and Chief Scientific Officer to develop resilient supply chains, stringent quality control, and flexible operational structures;Oversee all downstream (post-harvest) operational tasks, to *Warehousing, distribution, marketing, sales, and customer relations;Build effective logistics as the Company grows from pilot to commercial scale;Negotiate purchase agreements with B2B and B2C customers;Build marketing team to create meaningful messaging and highlight customer value;Scale all aspects of the above processes as the company builds to commercial production.Position Qualifications and ****EducationNo specific requirement. Food industry experience is of paramount importance. MBA, MSCM, and/or professional certifications (e.g., ASCM certifications) appreciated.Requirements10+ years of experience in food processing/food-related CPGHistory of successful product commercialization initiatives to include nationwide retail and/or wholesale distributionLocated in (or willing to relocate to) Chicago, IL. Position is full-time, in-person. Hybrid work structure negotiable.PreferredExperience not only at large, established corporations but also at growth-stage companies or start-upsVice President-level corporate management backgroundInitial Public Offering (IPO) and/or corporate acquisitions exit experienceExposure to regulatory compliance and governmental affairsCompensationSalary range for this position is $140,000 - $180,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant's experience, qualifications, and other factors permitted by law.
