The Orlando Traffic Design Team Lead will receive support from ELEMENT's robust and talented Tampa Traffic Team as ELEMENT steadily and strategically grows operations in Orlando. Employees are vested in our 401K upon hire, and we provide 3% to every individual, regardless of whether they can contribute.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesServe as the leader of the Orlando Traffic Design TeamDirect and assist traffic analyses using current best practices with a focus on Vision Zero principles and the Safe System approachDirect and assist the production of signing and pavement marking and signal plans in accordance with FDOT standardsConduct field reviewsPerform quality control reviewsEffectively communicate and coordinate with clients and colleaguesTrain and mentor junior team membersSupport marketing pursuits and business development effortsAssist with recruiting efforts for the Orlando office and ELEMENT Traffic TeamEngage the Orlando Traffic Design Team to support retention and employee satisfactionRequired QualificationsProfessional Engineer (PE) registered in FloridaAt least 5 years of post-registration experienceFamiliarity with the current FDOT Manuals and traffic guidelinesExcellent technical, written, and oral communication skillsStrong working knowledge of MicroStation and/or ORDInterest in mentoring junior staffCommitment to safetyLocal agency experience is a plus
