Position **The Quality Engineer is responsible for ensuring the customer's quality requirements are satisfied. Will provide direction to meet those requirements through review equipment and processes on a basis relevant to the customer requirement. Review standards and customer specifications in order to communicate customer expectation/requirements to manufacturing and inspection.Essential Job *Review customer purchase orders for specification and drawing requirements Compile, review for technical accuracy, approve, and submit First Article InspectionReports to customersAssist in development of standard operating proceduresDevelopment of Quality & Inspection plans including, but not limited **** ballooning prints, review specifications, completion and compilation of AS9102 formsReview and approve supplier First Article Inspection ReportsFacilitate root cause, corrective and preventive actionsInitiate and submit customer nonconformance reports when requiredAssist with quality training throughout the organizationParticipate on cross-functional teams to ensure customer requirements and expectations are metPlan and schedule product movement thru the Inspection areasDevelop gages and inspection proceduresObtain DSQR training, and perform DSQR duties if neededPerform Document control duties as neededAny other assigned duties**Bachelors degree in relevant subject area with two years practical experience or Associates degree with three years practical experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experienceAbility to read and interpret blueprints and specificationsExperience with precision measurement equipmentProficient in the use of Microsoft Office productsPractical experience with Database administrationProven track record of driving continuous quality improvementCustomer quality assurance experiencePrevious audit experienceSkills & KnowledgeWorking knowledge of MRP/ERP systemsWorking knowledge of AS9102, RR SABRe, GE S-1000, P&W ASQR-01Knowledge of ISO9001 or AS9100Working knowledge of various inspection toolsProblem solving skillsStrong verbal and written communication skillsPPAP Elements including PFMEA's, Control Plans, Process Flow, etc.Dimensional inspection knowledge/experienceProject management experience a plus** This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
