Akkodis is seeking an Entry-levelAutomotive Engineer for a Contract-to-possible-Hireposition in Raymond, OH. This position requires schooling in Automotive Engineering or Manufacturing.** No C2Cs **Rate Range: $25.00 to $29.00 per hour. The rate may be negotiable depending on experience, education, geographic location and other factors.Duration: 6-12 months with excellent chance of Conversion to Salaried/Direct Hire position.Location: Raymond, OHKey Responsibilities:- Conduct 3D scans of automotive interiors and exteriors using advanced scanning equipment.- Process and analyze scan data to create accurate digital models.- Design and build test fixtures.- Perform interior performance testing and interior capacity measurements.- Collaborate with engineers and designers to integrate scan data and test results into R&D projects.- Maintain and calibrate 3D scanning equipment to ensure optimal performance.- Document scanning procedures, test results, and measurements, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.- Assist in the development and improvement of scanning techniques, testing methods, and processes.- Perform light hand-work tasks such as part modification, part assembly and disassembly as needed to support R&D activities.- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to 3D scanning equipment and software.- Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards in the lab environment.- Maintain and organize lab and shop environment.- Driving test vehicles at test facilities and courses.Qualifications:- Associates degree or higher in Automotive Technology, Engineering, or a related field.- Proven experience with 3D scanning technology and software (e.g., Romer/Polyworks, FARO, Artec, Geomagic).- Strong technical skills and familiarity with CAD software such as CATIA V5/V6.- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively in a team environment.- Experience in interior performance testing and capacity measurement, especially cargo volume and other catalogue measurements.- Excellent time management, attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.- Ability to perform light hand-work tasks, including mock-up of parts into automotive interior to confirm performance proof of concept.- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.- Strong communication and documentation skills.- Knowledge of automotive design and manufacturing processes is a plus.- Valid drivers license.Equal Opportunity Employer/Veterans/DisabledBenefit offerings available for our associates include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, shortterm disability, additional voluntary benefits, an EAP program, commuter benefits, and a 401K plan.
