The primary focus of this position is process improvement, by evaluating and eliminating manufacturing non-conformances and related issues such as customer complaints, producibility limitations, and production delays, through the formal identification of root causes as well as the implementation of robust preventative and effective corrective actions.Principle duties & responsibilitiesConducting Data Mining and analyzing Non-Conformance issuesChampion problem solving and root cause analysis activities within the plant to eliminate recurrence of non-conformance (e.g. DMAIC, 8D, 5-Why)Leading and performing Process Capability Studies and Measurement system analysisConducting PFMEA and implementing the necessary Control PlansSupport Cost Engineering with Cost Analysis- Material and Production CostParticipate in cross-functional Corrective Action Board meetings and provide support to the customer's Design, Manufacturing & Purchasing Functions & Engine Project TeamsThe creation of How Tos, Work Instructions, SOP's, Technical instruction and other inspection planning documentsMonitoring and controlling the implementation of improvement actions and reporting effectiveness, in terms of Quality Cost and DeliveryIssue Resolution: Quickly resolve issues during industrialization and production, ensuring root cause identification and corrective actionsTechnical Quality Packages: Deliver robust manufacturing technical packages and methods for production componentsProduction Support: Provide day-to-day quality support for manufacturing operationsFamiliarity with Quality, Industrialization, and Operations processesSuccessful delivery of projects focused on cost, delivery, and quality improvementsThe ideal candidate will have the following combination of education and experience:Education: Engineering Degree or equivalent experience in engineering management or operationsPrevious roles as a Quality Engineer in aerospace, automotive, or industrial sectorsStrong manufacturing engineering background with expertise in the design and definition of complex productsExcellent analytical and communication skillsExperience in product (cost, manufacture, maintenance, build)Proven technical and professional in a team of Engineers and manufacturing disciplinesExperience in leading change across a businessPractical experience in a production or supply chain facility in Manufacturing EngineeringExperience in New Product Introduction, Industrialization, Production, and related processesDue to the nature of the work, candidates must be US CitizensQuest Global is An Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer EOE/AAExempt Salary Range: Pay: $85K - $105K DOEBenefits begin on day one:401(k) matchingDental insuranceHealth insurancePaid time offVision insuranceEmployer paid Life Insurance, Short- & Long-Term Disability100 % Onsite - Burnsville, MN
