About the RoleThe Asset Manager will be responsible for overseeing a portfolio of multifamily properties, ensuring they meet financial performance targets while optimizing operational efficiencies. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong financial acumen, experience in property management oversight, and a track record of maximizing asset value. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in multifamily real estate investments and a results-driven approach to portfolio management. Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement asset management strategies to maximize property value and investment returns. Oversee financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis for the multifamily portfolio. Monitor and analyze property financials, rent rolls, and market trends to drive strategic decision-making. Collaborate with property management teams to improve operational efficiency, occupancy rates, and resident satisfaction. Evaluate and execute value-add initiatives, including renovations, repositioning strategies, and capital improvements. Conduct periodic property performance reviews and site visits to assess conditions and recommend improvements. Work closely with acquisitions and finance teams to support underwriting and due diligence for new investments. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and risk management best practices. Establish and maintain strong relationships with investors, lenders, and other key stakeholders. Provide regular reporting and presentations to senior leadership and investors on portfolio performance. Qualifications & Experience Bachelor's degree in real estate, finance, business, or a related field. Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in real estate asset management, with a focus on multifamily properties. Strong financial analysis skills, including proficiency in financial modeling and investment analysis. Experience overseeing third-party property managers and driving operational efficiencies. Deep understanding of market trends, property valuations, and multifamily real estate dynamics. Excellent communication and leadership skills. Ability to manage multiple assets in different markets and work in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in property management and asset management software (e.g., Yardi, RealPage, AppFolio). Master's degree (MBA or MS in Real Estate) is a plus. Experience with value-add and distressed asset strategies. Strong relationships with brokers, lenders, and industry professionals.
