The position will act assist the Director of Finance to provide critical thought leadership and financial analysis for the management leadership teams of Cinemark's Purchasing, IT, Marketing, HR, Innovation and Theatre Technology departments. Additionally the role will provide financial analysis, due diligence and financial models for business development opportunities. Because of the comprehensive scope of the role, along with the fluid and unpredictable nature of Mergers and Acquisitions and Business Development, flexibility and ability to work on numerous projects at once is critical to the success of this position.Responsibilities:Actively collaborate with Purchasing, IT, Marketing, HR, Innovation and Theatre Technology leadership teams to:Provide financial analysis and financial modeling to drive business growth and control costsDesign tests for new activities and promotions, and provide analytics to measure success "in-test" as well as post-mortemMeasuring success of marketing and promotional activitiesDeliver insightful views into performance and trendsAssist in creation of annual operating and capex budgetsDevelop short- and long-range financial forecastsTypes of analysis, financial models and critical thought leadership would cover areas such as:Support for key contract negotiations including review of terms and agreementsNew business concepts and business developmentVarious business initiative rolloutsFinancial return justification modeling and postmortems of HR, IT and marketing initiatives / spendMergers and Acquisition financial due diligenceAd hoc analysis, reporting and presentation needs of department heads, SVP, CFO and senior managementRequirements:Minimum of 6 years of progressive financial experience, including broad financial partnering and leadership for operational teams in a dynamic organization, including experience with Mergers and Acquisitions and Business Development initiativesA Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or related field from an accredited and recognized institution of higher learning is required with an advanced degree (MBA, equivalent) preferredProven analytical skills with a hands-on and detail-oriented nature; able to accomplish deep-dive analytics both individually and in collaboration with the Financial Planning and Analysis teamCurious, independent and proactive thinker with demonstrated record of approaching management with original and creative views on how to improve the business using data driven analysisAdvanced Excel modeling and PowerPoint skillsClear verbal/written communication and presentation skills with an ability to influence and build positive interpersonal relationshipsAbility to cope in a fast, dynamic environment and manage a wide range of tasks simultaneouslyTrack record of leading simplification and process improvement projectsCollaborative, team playerHigh degree of personal and professional integrityMulti-outlet brick and mortar retail and/or entertainment industry experience a plusEssbase, SQL, OLAP, or multi-dimensional database experience a plusExperience in database maintenance, design or queries a plusDISCLAIMER: This job description is not an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, duties, skills, efforts, requirements or working conditions associated with the job.
