With a diverse project portfolio and healthy pipeline, there is growth potential within the team.Estimator Responsibilities:Participate in the preparation of conceptual cost models, budgets and feasibility models based on historical cost data and/or subcontractor input as appropriateIdentify and report problems or deficiencies to the Project ManagerAnalyze project program, design, costs, and subcontractor input; provide comparisons, cost-saving, and value engineering optionsPrepare cost analysis by recapitulating material, labor, equipment, subcontractor, and overhead costs occurred in heavy civil industry projectsMust have the ability to explain details behind each estimate, including the basis of the man-hours allocated for each task, personnel resources needed to execute each task, etc.Provide estimating review support to the development teamPrepare project cost estimates from the client's RFQ documents and drawings and any other information learned during the pre-bid showingMaintain lines of communications between company departments, project manager, and client with regards to cost estimating activitiesEstimator Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management or Business preferred3+ years experience as an Estimator within commercial constructionProficient with relevant construction computer software and Microsoft Office
