A global automotive parts manufacturing company is currently seeking a motivated Entry to Mid-Level Mechanical Engineer to join their New Model department at their facility in the southeastern Columbus, Ohio area. The ideal candidate will have the ability to collaborate effectively with customers and colleagues, and a positive, team-oriented mindset. This is a full-time, direct hire position with a comprehensive benefits package. New graduates and entry-level candidates are welcome and encouraged to apply!Mechanical Engineer Responsibilities Include:Plan and schedule new model activities, and coordinate with production and other internal departments to ensure accurate delivery of productsCreate and maintain goals and deadlines for the development of new products- provide engineering documentation, coordinate project timelines, and address design and quality issues as neededAct as a point of contact for customers regarding project status and quality assurance mattersReview quality issues and approve corrective action activitiesAssist with preparations for quality audits, continuous improvement / Kaizen, and process improvement initiativesOther duties as assignedMechanical Engineer Requirements Include:Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field preferred, OR Associate's degree with equivalent work experienceMinimum 1-3 years' engineering experience (including internships, co-ops, etc.) in a manufacturing environment; specific familiarity with plastic injection molding is preferredGood computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office applicationsAnalytical and quantitative approach to problem solvingStrong communication and collaboration ability in a multicultural environmentThis position includes manufacturing and warehousing work environment. While performing the duties of this job you may be required to intermittently sit, stand, walk, lift up to 25 pounds, lift in excess of 25 pounds with a lift assist, climb stairs, use hands to handle or feel parts/equipment, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend at the waist, talk and hear. You may also be required to use close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and peripheral vision.Direct applicants only.
