Position Overview:We are seeking a Chemical Process Engineer to develop, optimize, and troubleshoot chemical manufacturing processes. This role will focus on process efficiency, safety, cost reduction, and regulatory compliance while collaborating with cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate has strong expertise in chemical reactions, equipment design, and process improvement to drive operational excellence.Key Responsibilities:🔹 Process Design & Optimization:Develop, analyze, and optimize chemical processes to improve efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.Design and evaluate equipment, piping systems, and process flow diagrams (PFDs & P&IDs).Implement process modifications to enhance safety, productivity, and sustainability.🔹Manufacturing Support & Troubleshooting:Provide technical support to production teams for troubleshooting process issues.Perform root cause analysis for process failures and implement corrective actions.Collaborate with maintenance teams to ensure optimal equipment performance.🔹Equipment & Technology Integration:Specify, select, and evaluate pumps, heat exchangers, reactors, and filtration systems.Work with vendors to assess new equipment, materials, and automation technologies.Develop and execute process scale-up strategies from laboratory to full-scale production.🔹Safety, Compliance & Environmental Regulations:Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory standards for chemical processing.Conduct process hazard analyses (PHA), HAZOP reviews, and risk assessments.Support the development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and safety protocols.🔹Continuous Improvement & Project Management:Lead process improvement projects to reduce waste, energy usage, and production costs.Use Lean, Six Sigma, or other methodologies to drive continuous improvement.Collaborate with R&D, quality, and operations teams to enhance overall process performance.Qualifications:Education:Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field.Experience:5-7+ years of experience in chemical process engineering, manufacturing, or industrial operations.Hands-on experience with chemical reactions, heat & mass transfer, and fluid dynamics.Familiarity with process modeling and simulation tools (e.g., Aspen Plus, ChemCAD, MATLAB, etc.).Skills:Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.Ability to work both independently and within cross-functional teams.Excellent communication skills for technical reporting and cross-department collaboration.Project management experience is a plus.
