IT Test Analyst - hybrid

Job Description A contractor is needed for the role of IT Test Analyst as part of the QA team. This position is part of a high-performing quality assurance team participating in the delivery of quality software. The team works cross-functional in an onshore/offshore model to support testing activities. The position reports administratively to a QA Manager. Must be in office 3-5 days a week. Top Skills: Testing skills: design and execution of test cases, bug tracking, POS, and web testing experience, understanding of different testing types. Soft skills: team player, adaptable, clear communication. Responsibilities: Test preparation and execution activities on projects. Participates in functional and technical design reviews. Creates or modifies test scenarios and test cases. Ensures appropriate test data is defined and available. Executes and statuses test cases. Clearly documents defects and retests fixes. Effectively communicates progress and status. Delivers quality work to meet application team needs. Works in a collaborative project environment. Assists in driving issues to closure. Completes assignments on time according to priorities. Skills/Qualifications: Retail experience preferred. Experience testing inventory management systems. Experience working on OMS preferred. Experience testing Manhattan Active Omni a plus. Understanding of Software Development Lifecycle methodologies. Experience working on projects with multiple teams and resources. Experience working in an onshore/offshore model. Experience with HP ALM, JIRA, or other test and defect management tools. Organizational and planning skills. Strong interpersonal skills. Ability to collaborate and coordinate. Proactive participation in team environment. Strong documentation and communication skills.
