Investment Manager - Real Estate Finance

Macdonald & Company is proud to be partnered with a lean and rapidly growing residential real estate finance and asset management company to appoint an Investment Manager to their Operations & Asset Management team in Charlotte. Our client is backed by relationships with several large (multi-billion-dollar) private equity groups.The ideal candidate will have the opportunity to be an integral part of a growing team in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial work environment with external-facing client relationships and direct reporting lines to top-senior leadership.This individual will be involved in several facets of the operations & asset management and reporting and investment performance/analysis deliverables.**Lead deal operations and asset management efforts for select clients and partnerships.UnderwritingDue diligence o Modeling / pro forma business planningDocument review including key loan documents & financial statementsTerm sheet drafting & negotiations o Project specific and general market analysisManaging loan closing process & loan document reviewPreparation of credit approval memorandums and supporting materialsAsset Management & OperationsAsset management oversight w/ clients (external)Asset management reporting to senior leadership (internal)Ongoing modeling and expense/revenue projections, variance reporting & sensitivity analysisDraw review & other ad hoc analysisInput and management of proprietary software systems for deal managementQualifications & *Possess a minimum of 5+ years of direct experience in real estate; finance, investment, asset management, or developmentBachelor's degree required in real estate, business, finance, or related fieldExpertly skilled with Microsoft Excel and the wider suite of applicationsExceptional written and verbal communication skills for relationship management with clients, service providers, and investorsIncredibly strong critical **** adept at creating novel/new models and analysis, synthesizing new ideas and concepts in an articulate and actionable format for senior leadership***** track record of delivering quantifiable results to the organization (i.e. analyzing opportunities/risks, developing and executing related action plans, and delivering results)Operational ***** a proven ability to identify, collect and analyze operations performance data, market research data, and other related data to improve performance***** adaptable to a high-paced and dynamic work environment and adept at prioritizing and reprioritizing quickly changing tasks while maintaining attention to detailTakes ownership of a wide and broad range of tasks, which will vary and depend on business needs at the timeIntellectual curiosity and coachability are of paramount importance
