Our client, a $2.5bn AUM Investment Fund, is actively seeking a Senior Quantitative Researcher to join their NYC based team. The team trades both US and Global Equities systematically and is seeking a candidate with a strong understanding of financial markets to help support their equity portfolio.Key **Signal Generation & Alpha * Develop, implement, and refine quantitative models that generate alpha signals within global equity markets. Apply advanced statistical and machine learning techniques to uncover insights from complex data sets.Data Analysis & * Utilize diverse data sources (market data, fundamental data, alternative data, etc.) to create robust quantitative models. Work with large datasets and cutting-edge tools to ensure quality, integrity, and relevance.Collaboration & Cross-functional * Collaborate with other researchers and developers to translate research into actionable investment strategies. Provide insight into model performance and offer continuous improvements.Model Testing & * Backtest, validate, and monitor model performance to ensure they meet desired risk and return objectives. Continuously track and optimize for performance across different market conditions.Market Research & * Stay updated on the latest industry trends, research methodologies, and innovations in quantitative finance. Experiment with new data sources and techniques to keep the firm ahead of the curve.* 5+ years of experience in quantitative finance or research, with a focus on global systematic equity strategies. Previous experience working in hedge funds, asset management, or quantitative research teams is highly preferred.Educational ** Master's or Ph.D. in a quantitative field such as Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, Statistics, or Engineering.Technical * Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or C++. Familiarity with machine learning techniques is a plus.Financial * Deep understanding of equity markets, financial instruments, and quantitative portfolio management strategies.Collaborative * Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment, with strong communication skills and a proven track record of delivering high-quality research in a collaborative setting.Problem-Solving ** Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to approach complex problems and deliver innovative solutions.This is an incredible opportunity to join a growing and successful team, working on cutting edge research in the NYC area!
