This role is designed for a proactive individual who thrives in a dynamic environment and is eager to contribute to the family office's success.The Financial Analyst will assist with the accurate and timely preparation of monthly financial statements, reconciliations, and journal entries for the family office. Under the direction of the CFO, this role will also provide finance and accounting support to other global entities. A strong candidate for this position should demonstrate the ability to independently review and analyze financial data to make recommendations, identify discrepancies, and maximize efficiencies.Key ResponsibilitiesGeneral accounting and finance functions for the family office, several commercial real estate entities, and one of our portfolio companies, including, but not limited to: (i) Processing daily journal entries, assisting with A/R and A/P, tracking expense trends; (ii) Completing monthly credit card reconciliations, regularly reviewing and reconciling bank statements, and maintaining sensitive financial documents; and (iii) Assisting with the month- and year-end closing process and working with our external CPA firm.Extensive use of Excel to analyze and interpret financial and operational data to generate actionable insights and reports for executive management teams.Understand and maintain confidentiality relating to all business activities, especially the family office's personal and financial details.Demonstrate the ability to think creatively and develop innovative solutions to complex financial and business challenges.Provide timely professional responses to colleagues, advisors, and portfolio companies regarding both regular and ad-hoc inquiries.Work as a team and not be afraid to ask questions or seek additional assistance when a question arises that you are unsure about.Follow best practices for company procedures and ensure compliant record keeping.Confidentiality is paramount.
