The ERM team is composed of Actuaries, CFA charter holders, and risk professionals and is tasked with, among other things:Identifying and Assessing RisksDeveloping and testing of the Company's Risk AppetiteDeveloping and maintenance of the Company's Risk Management FrameworkEstablishing risk tolerances, and LimitsRisk monitoring; and internal and external risk reportingResponsibilities:Develops, implements, and communicates model risk policies and proceduresSupports the oversight and challenge of key model risk activities including model documentation, model adoption and change, and model validationMaintains a model risk register and follows up with key stakeholders on the remediation of findingsDevelops comprehensive and detailed model risk reports to help monitor and manage model riskMaintains a centralized catalogue of key MRM artifacts including Policy, Standards, templates, training materials, MRM risk register, leadership team meeting materials, and program execution documentsAssesses and monitors model risk exposuresMaintains and updates a centralized model and tool inventorySupports model and tool validations as appropriateSupports the training of MRM program objectives and requirementsEstablishes strong relationships with model owners, model business owners, and model business usersSupports the oversight and management of Operational risks in the Finance, Actuarial, and Investment departments. Collaborates with Finance, Actuarial, and Finance representatives to identify key operational risks and develop effective mitigation strategiesQualifications:Bachelors degree or higher in a quantitative discipline7+ years of experience required, with focus on model risk, actuarial and finance processes, operational risk, and/or insurance industry preferredStrong project management and collaboration skillsStrong attention to detail and well organized; ability to prioritize, multi-task and work independently while delivering superior outcomesStrong analytical capabilities: demonstrated modeling capabilities in Financial Mathematics preferredStrong communicator through verbal, written and listening skillsQuick learner and able to drive continuous improvement beyond own scope of responsibility; able to constructively challenge status quoProfessional designations such as CFA or FRM a plus*Talcott Financial Group is an equal employment and affirmative action employer.
