Accounting Specialist

Job Description As an Accounting Specialist at Vaco , you will be responsible for a variety of accounting tasks, including: Processing invoices and ensuring timely payments to vendors Preparing and issuing customer invoices, monitoring receivables, and following up on overdue accounts Reconciling bank statements, credit card transactions, and general ledger accounts Assisting in preparing financial reports, including balance sheets and income statements Preparing and posting journal entries for routine and non-routine transactions Assisting with month-end and year-end closings, ensuring accuracy and compliance Processing payroll or assisting with payroll reporting as needed Accounting Responsibilities The Accounting Specialist will perform various accounting duties, including: Accounts Payable and Receivable: Process invoices, verify accuracy, and ensure timely payments to vendors. Reconciliation and Reporting: Reconcile bank statements, credit card transactions, and general ledger accounts. Assist in preparing financial reports, including balance sheets and income statements. General Accounting Duties: Prepare and post journal entries for routine and non-routine transactions. Assist with month-end and year-end closings, ensuring accuracy and compliance. PAYROLL SUPPORT: Process payroll or assist with payroll reporting as needed. Ensure proper documentation and reporting of payroll taxes and deductions.
