POS Test Analyst - mostly onsite

Job Description The POS Test Analyst will be part of a high-performing QA team responsible for ensuring the quality of software solutions, specifically for Point of Sale (POS) systems. The role requires test preparation, execution, and defect tracking to validate functionality, performance, and security. The analyst will work in a cross-functional, onshore/offshore model and collaborate with application teams, developers, business analysts, and stakeholders to ensure seamless testing processes. Each day this role will either be in a POS lab executing test cases/retesting defects or working on their laptop to write/edit test cases, etc... There will be a daily meeting to attend for status updates. Primarily onsite in Columbus, Ohio Responsibilities: Participates in functional and technical design reviews to ensure understanding of relevant business processes, technologies, and architectures. Creates or modifies test scenarios and test cases that are in alignment with functional requirements. Ensures appropriate test data is defined and available in the test environment Clearly document defects, and retests fixes in a timely manner in required test management tool. Effectively communication progress and status to test lead/manager. Deliver quality work to meet the needs of application teams and business partners Work in a collaborative project environment with cross-functional teams. Assists in driving issues to closure. Complete assignments on time in accordance with the priorities identified by the test lead. Requirements: Retail experience preferred. Experience working on Point of Sale. Understanding of Software Development Lifecycle methodologies (Waterfall, Iterative, Agile). Experience working on projects with multiple teams and resources. Experience working in an onshore/offshore model. Understanding of test automation Experience with HP ALM, JIRA, or other test and defect management tools. Organizational and planning skills. Strong interpersonal skills. Ability to collaborate and coordinate. Proactive participation in team environment. Strong documentation and communication skills.
