CNC Controls Technician Job descriptionJob **Direct placement opportunity (not a contract or temp assignment). Position is for a FT GROB employee to be on site at ZF Transmissions in Gray Court, SC. As a GROB employee you will conduct training in Mindelheim, Germany for approximately 10 months (Anticipate 6 weeks in Germany, 1 week home)Summary of *This position is responsible for the commissioning of e-mobility machine tool equipment. This will include troubleshooting the electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems, making program and wiring changes, and often requires mechanical troubleshooting and making minor adjustment/repairs with an emphasis on electrical startup and program changes.Roles & *Commissioning of our assembly systems for electric drives and battery modules at the customers premisesProgramming and configuration of control systems, HMIs, bus systems and interfaces to state-of-the-art subsystemsAdaptation and extension of control logic, control algorithms and user interfacesExecution of tests of individual machine functions as well as associated optimizations and troubleshootingAnalysis and elimination of malfunctions and continuous improvement of system performanceEducation & Experience *High School Diploma minimum; Associates Degree preferred in Electrical Engineering, Robotics and Automation, or similar programPLC or CNC programming experience (Siemens preferred)General PC and Networking skills2 years relevant experience preferredGeneral *Excellent oral and written communication skillsStrong math skillsWilling to work overtime as neededWilling to travel domestic and internationalAbility to obtain and maintain a valid passportJob ** Full-time***** $35.00 - $45.00 per hour**401(k)401(k) matchingDental insuranceHealth insuranceLife insurancePaid time offVision insurance8 hour shiftDay shiftApplication Question(s):Have you had experience servicing and repairing 5 Axis CNC machines in the last five years?Do you have experience in the installing, setup, and commissioning of new CNC machines?Ability to **Gray Court, SC 29645 (Preferred)Ability to *Gray Court, SC 29645: Relocate before starting work (Required)Work **On site and In person
