This position requires a strategic thinker with exceptional media relations skills and a proven track record in public relations. You will lead the media relations efforts, guiding account teams and collaborating closely with clients to develop programs that not only achieve visibility but also resonate with target audiences.Key Responsibilities:Media Strategy Development: Design and implement comprehensive media relations strategies tailored to the unique needs of each client, ensuring alignment with overall PR objectives.Counsel and Guidance: Provide expert media relations counsel to account teams and clients, interpreting client needs into actionable media programs that drive results.Creativity in Program Development: Utilize both traditional and innovative marketing tactics to create engaging programs that capture media attention and elevate client profiles.Relationship Building: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with journalists and media contacts, ensuring ongoing visibility for the agency and its clients, independent of specific campaigns.Cross-Team Collaboration: Work closely with account teams to provide timely updates on projects, ensuring all stakeholders are informed and aligned throughout the campaign lifecycle.Performance Measurement: Track and analyze the effectiveness of media strategies, adjusting approaches as necessary to optimize outcomes and meet or exceed campaign goals.Qualifications:Experience: Minimum of 4 years of experience in a public relations agency, with a focus on media relations and strategy development.Media Contacts: Extensive network of media contacts across various platforms, with a proven ability to leverage these relationships for client benefit.Exceptional Writing Skills: Demonstrated proficiency in writing compelling press materials, including press releases, pitches, and media kits.Strategic Thinker: Ability to think creatively and strategically to develop innovative programs that achieve media coverage and enhance brand visibility.Project Management Skills: Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines without compromising quality.Results-Oriented Mindset: Proven ability to deliver high-impact communications programs that meet set targets and drive client success.Pay range and compensation packageIn order to comply with equal pay and salary transparency laws in various locations, the Company believes the target range of base compensation for this role is $110k - $125k/yr.
