Position: Defense Litigation ParalegalJob Description: Prominent defense litigation firm in Los Angeles seeks a Defense Litigation Paralegal to join their team. The Defense Litigation Paralegal possesses their ABA-approved paralegal certificate, 7+ years of experience working in a defense litigation practice preferably in lemon law, mastery of federal and state court filings, and demonstrated experience managing cases from inception to trial.Defense Litigation Paralegal Job Duties:* Manage federal court filings via MyCase or Clio, ensuring compliance with local rules and the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure.* Handle e-filing through PACER, CM/ECF, and other federal court systems.* Draft and submit pleadings, motions, discovery requests, subpoenas, and trial documents.* Track case dockets and deadlines, coordinating with opposing counsel and court staff.* Support attorneys in hearings, depositions, and trials by preparing legal documents, exhibits, and witness lists.* Maintain organized case files, both physical and electronic, for efficient case management.* Conduct legal research on federal court procedures, case law, and relevant legal issues.* Assist in drafting motions and legal arguments, summarizing court rulings and filings for internal use.* Act as a liaison between attorneys, clients, and the court for case progress and filing statuses.* Communicate with court clerks and opposing counsel to resolve filing issues and confirm deadlines.Defense Litigation Paralegal Requirements:- ABA-approved Paralegal Certificate OR Attestation OR 6450 Compliant required- Bachelors degree strongly preferred- Comfortability with completing up to 1800 billable hours annually- Prior experience with MyCase, Clio, PACER, CM/ECF, Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and iWork strongly preferredIf you or someone you know is interested in applying, please send the resume in Word (.docx) format to Alizen Rodriguez at for immediate and confidential consideration.All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, national origin, age, ancestry, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, marital status, disability, medical condition, genetic information, pregnancy, or military or veteran status.
