About the CompanyMid-sized law firm is seeking a full-time Paralegal with experience in the areas of Community Association Law including Condominium, HOA, and Cooperatives, along with real estate litigation and business litigation experience for their St. Petersburg office.About the RoleThe paralegal is responsible for handling a heavy caseload and working closely with HOA/Condo/Co-op Board members and homeowners. Must be comfortable with managing complaints, referrals, preparing notices, liens, release of liens, foreclosure notices, collections, preparing final demand letters, preparing notices of unpaid assessments and other charges, preparing payment plan default letters, preparing new referrals for the collection process, prepare the file for lawsuit, etc. This is a very demanding position that is document-intensive, and deadline driven.ResponsibilitiesAbility to read, analyze, and interpret information in transactional documents, such as contracts, corporate documents, and real estate documents.Excellent communication skills - written and oralProblem-solving, analytical and research skillsDetail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skillsAbility to handle a variety of assignments simultaneouslyMotivated self-starter with a positive attitudeWillingness to work both independently and as part of a teamAbility to file/record documents in official recordsQualificationsHigh school diploma from an accredited institutionParalegal Degree/CertificateA minimum of 3 years of Litigation experienceAvailability for overtime as neededRequired SkillsProficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), with the ability to quickly learn other programs.Experience in iManage and Aderant is a plus.Advanced Adobe professional and Adobe AcrobatExcellent communication skills, both written and oral.Strong organizational and administrative skills.Effective problem-solving, analytical, and research skills.Attention to detail with strong organizational and time management abilities.Ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously and work extra hours as needed.Self-motivated with a positive attitude.Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a deadline-driven environment.
