Marketing Events & Travel Manager

Our client in the hospitality and tourism industry is seeking a Marketing Events & Travel Manager to join their growing team! The ideal candidate will have a strong background in event/travel planning, project management and leadership - as they will be driving and managing the successful delivery of the North American travel portfolio, as well as managing a team of 3. The ideal candidate will have some exposure to the travel/tourism industry. This will be a hybrid role, onsite 4 days/week in the downtown Chicago office location.Marketing Events & Travel ManagerResponsibilities:Create and develop a tour portfolio that differentiates the business from the market and appeals to the customer base, whilst ensuring a high level of customer experienceResearch market trends and customer preferences to identify opportunities for new escorted tour productsMonitor sales performance, analyze market feedback and identify opportunities for product/travel enhancements or adjustmentsCollaborate with internal teams and external vendors to plan and schedule travel tours and events, ensuring all logistics are handled efficientlyLead, drive and improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the North American travel product teamBuilding and improving team capability and motivation through coaching, feedback, development and empowerment.Marketing Events & Travel Manager Requirements:Bachelors degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field5+ years of experience in travel/event planning and Marketing OperationsHighly customer-focused with the ability to instill a customer-first ethos within the teamExperience within the travel industry HIGHLY preferredSome experience leading and managing a team preferredMotivated and driven to improve efficiencies, productivity and operational deliveryAble to balance people and performance needsExcellent communication skills Thank you, Stephanie Moncada Principal LaSalle NetworkLaSalle Network is an Equal Opportunity Employer m/f/d/v.
