Plaster Estimator - Commercial

Established Union Commercial and Residential subcontractor is looking to add an experienced Plaster Estimator to the team. We currently perform Metal Stud Framing, Drywall, Acoustical, Insulation, and Paint.Benefits: Medical, Dental, 401K Match, PTOPreferred Estimating Scopes:PlasterResponsibilitiesReview architectural drawings, bid packages, and project specifications to develop detailed plaster estimatesQuantity take-offs and bid submission with all required bid documentsAttend pre-bid job walk meetingsNegotiate contract pricing and termsCreate materials and labor estimate takeoffsQuantify our scope of work using On-Screen Takeoff and QuickBid softwareUsing QuickBid software - prepare estimates, submit bid proposals, and forward budgets to accounting on awarded jobs.Track market trends, material costs, and industry standards to refine estimating strategiesDevelop and maintain excellent relationships with General Contractors and suppliers. Seek out new General Contractors and suppliers. Communicate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain accurate pricing for materials and servicesCollaborate with project managers and field supervisors to assess project scope, feasibility, and risk factorsQualificationsMinimum 3 years estimating experience in PlasterWorking knowledge of contract documentsStrong communication and negotiation abilitiesAdvanced knowledge of MS Office applications such as Word, Excel, and OutlookStrong knowledge of plastering materials, application techniques, and union labor ratesExperience working with union contractors and understanding of collective bargaining agreements is a plus
