Position OverviewUltimate Staffing is actively seeking an experienced Office Administrator to join a dynamic engineering consulting firm in Portland, Oregon. This temp-to-hire position offers the opportunity to work in a supportive and professional environment, handling a variety of administrative tasks to ensure smooth office operations.ResponsibilitiesResponsible for answering incoming calls and transferring them to appropriate team members, ensuring smooth communication within the office.Perform general administrative tasks, including data entry, ordering supplies, organizing files and office supplies/equipment, distributing mail, and managing the dishwasher daily.Arrange and book travel for employees and incoming staff, ensuring all logistics are handled efficiently.Provide support services for meetings, including setting up meeting rooms, coordinating presentation materials, and ordering food as necessary.Plan and execute events for team-building activities and other office events to foster a positive workplace environment.Conduct employee onboarding and offboarding duties as needed, ensuring a smooth transition for new and departing employees.Assist with moving items like small desks, light furniture, or filled banker boxes, and occasionally use a step ladder to reach boxes or files.Exhibit excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, alongside first-rate problem-solving capabilities and intermediate computer skills (Word, Excel).RequirementsAt least 2+ years of similar office experience preferred.Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.Required Work HoursMonday - Thursday: In-Office 8:00am - 3:00pmFriday: WFH 8:00am - 3:00pmBenefitsCompetitive hourly pay between $24 and $27, based on experience and qualifications, with and exceptional benefits package upon conversion.Additional DetailsThis role is a great opportunity for someone looking to grow their career in a professional office environment.
