COME JOIN OUR TEAM!A company in the tech-style and screen printing industry is seeking an Operations Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have the ability to direct and coordinate operations across multiple departments to ensure efficiency and cost-effectiveness. This role involves planning, developing, and implementing company policies and goals. The Operations Manager will analyze departmental budgets and identify necessary changes in programs and operational procedures, either personally or by overseeing assistant personnel.RESPONSIBILITIESAssists company officers and senior staff members in the development and formulation of long and short-range planning, policies, programs and objectives.Develops the manufacturing plan and establishes procedures for maintaining high standards of manufacturing operations to ensure that products conform to established customer and company quality standards.Achieves optimum employee levels with least amount of overhead and raw material costs to meet annual budgetary plan.Formulates and recommends manufacturing policies and programs that guide the organization in maintaining and improving its competitive position and the profitability of the operation.Directs and monitors the departments supervisors and leadsto accomplish goals of the manufacturing plan, consistent with established manufacturing and safety procedures.Acts as liaison between department management/subordinate levels, as well as executive/department manager levels to inform personnel of communications, decisions, policies and all matters that affect their performance, attitudes and results.Manages the team of customer service representatives, sales support, and logistics coordinator and is responsible for ensuring a positive customer experience.Supervise work and guide the R&D department, monitor progress, and ensure quality compliance standards in alignment with R&D goals and objectives.Hires, trains, develops and evaluates staff. Takes corrective action as necessary on a timely basis and in accordance with company policy. Ensures compliance with current federal, state, and local regulations. Consults with the Human Resources Department as appropriate.Conducts performance evaluations, provides feedback, and offers training to improve team members skills.Address concerns regarding work quality, interpersonal issues, and other matters promptly and effectively.Identifies, recommends and implements changes to improve productivity and reduce cost and scrap, monitor scrap and rework data. Directs the establishment, implementation and maintenance of production standards.Directs and coordinates various programs essential to manufacturing procedures (e.g., training, safety, housekeeping, cost reduction, worker involvement, security, etc.).Initiates and coordinates major projects (e.g., plant layout changes, installation of capital equipment, major repairs, etc.).Set, monitor, & review work load schedule and plan accordingly.Ensure production/quality processes, equipment being used and the working environments are all conducive to producing a high quality product and service.Organizing, planning, and coordinating all inventory management activities.Implement manufacturing improvement processes and systems to reduce inventory, increase throughput and minimize costs.EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND COMPETENCIESEducation: The Operations Manager position requires a minimum of a BS degree in Engineering from a four year accredited institution.Experience: The Operations Manager must possess 5 years minimum experience associated with manufacturing operations and material management in a highly competitive industrial environment.Core Competencies:Understanding of material flow, supply chain management, supplier quality assurance, inventory control, and production planning.Familiar with Lean manufacturing methodologies and ability to lead and implement changes.Must have effective communication, organization, problem solving, interpersonal and team building skills and able to manage multiple projects in a rapidly changing environment.Personal Characteristics:Demonstrated ability to influence others and impact changeCreative and share best practices with othersWell-developed interpersonal skills. The employee is frequently required to stand and sit. The employee is occasionally required to walk and reach with hands and arms.Work environment includes front-office and manufacturing.
