Blending 19th-century American craftsmanship with 21st-century innovation to bring clients a wide variety of custom-made solutions ranging from awnings and canopies to all-weather curtains and more!If you are a detail-oriented individual with a strong work ethic and a passion for quality craftsmanship, we want to hear from you.Responsibilities·       Fabricate Awning framework from CAD / Shop drawing - Figure materials, cut tubing, weld and finishing clean-up.·       Acquire and maintain expert-level knowledge of our products.·       Accurately read and understand a tape measure, ensuring measurements are correct.·       Operate properly in a safe manner - Compound Miter saw, MIG welding machines, and various tools.·       Work well with others to get the project done. Traits and Qualifications·       Certified Welder able to use MIG Miller/ Lincoln machines for aluminum and steel.·       High aptitude for prioritization, organization, and self-direction·       Experience in reading and understanding CAD and Shop Drawings·       Strong communication skills·       Ability to thrive in a highly independent role.·       Sense of humor·       Retention of product training and information given once or in small bursts·       Ability to lift and move at least 50 lbs. and have the flexibility to move freely·       Fabricating shop experience, carpentry, or other trade·       Experience with compound miter saw, band saw, drill press, grinders, plus other hand tools.Benefits·       Overtime likely·       Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance after 30 days ·       Paid Holidays & PTO after 90-day introductory period·       401K with match after one year The proper candidate will be a hard worker that takes pride in their work.  We encourage you to apply if you enjoy working independently and have the drive to do so with precision and enthusiasm.   Ohio Awning and Manufacturing Company provides a wide variety of shade, awning and weather solutions to Northeast Ohio and the broader region.
