JIB Accountant Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex - fully onsiteVaco is working with a growing family office seeking to add a talented JIB/AP Accountant to the team. They have a diversified portfolio of holdings across real estate, healthcare, and oil and gas as well as the individual portfolios of family members and boast a tight-knight culture. Candidates will bring a "roll up your sleeves" mentality to the table as they continue to put structure around accounting processes.Compensation range: $80-95K + discretionary bonus.Responsibilities:Prepare and process joint interest billing statements for various joint venture partners in a timely and accurate manner.Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies, including adherence to industry standards and regulations.Coordinate with internal teams to gather necessary data and information for accurate billing, including production, costs, and operational details.Review and verify operating expenses, capital costs, and revenue associated with joint interest billing to ensure proper allocation.Communicate with joint venture partners to resolve billing issues, answer inquiries, and negotiate billing adjustments when necessary.Monitor and track the status of open invoices, ensuring timely collection and resolution of any discrepancies.Reconcile joint venture accounts and resolve any discrepancies related to billings and payments.Generate and maintain monthly, quarterly, and annual billing reports for management review.Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring all joint venture transactions are accurately recorded.Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and support external audits as needed.Qualifications:Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.3-5 years of experience in oil and gas accounting, with a focus on joint interest billing.Strong knowledge of joint venture accounting principles and the oil and gas industry.Proficiency with accounting software (Enertia preferred) and advanced Excel skills.Vaco provides expert consulting, permanent placement, executive search, managed services, and strategic staffing solutions for companies around the world, in the areas of accounting, finance, technology, healthcare, operations and more.
