Our team is dedicated to providing exceptional advocacy, and we're looking for a skilled paralegal to help us deliver the best possible outcomes for our clients.Job Summary:We're hiring an experienced Personal Injury Paralegal to join our team and support our attorneys through the critical discovery phase of personal injury cases. This role focuses on gathering, organizing and managing case materials to ensure thorough and timely preparation of cases. This role requires a solid understanding of legal procedures, attention to detail, and excellent organizational skills. This is a full-time and on-site role.Key Responsibilities:Manage personal injury cases from the receipt of answers/filing Request for Judicial Intervention (RJI) through to the filing of the Note of Issue.Prepare discovery documents, organize evidence, and assist attorneys with depositions and motion practice.Draft and respond to discovery demands, subpoenas, and pleadings, BPs other related correspondence.Ensure compliance with court-mandated deadlines and maintain case file integrity.Assist in trial preparation by organizing exhibits, preparing witness lists, and drafting trial binders.Qualifications:Associate's degree or paralegal certificate required; Bachelor's degree preferred.Minimum 5 years of experience as a plaintiff personal injury paralegal at New York law firm, specifically in discovery management.Familiarity with legal terminology, medical terminology, SmartAdvocate case management software and New York court rules and procedures.Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with attention to detail.Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet deadlines.Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, document management systems, and e-filing systemsExcellent written and verbal communication skills.The starting salary for this position is $75,000+ annually. The actual pay wage may vary based on experience or other relevant factors.
