Job Title: Probate ParalegalLocation: Chicago, IL (Loop Area)Salary: $50,000 - $60,000 annually (depending on experience)LHH Recruitment Solutions seeks a dedicated and experienced Probate Paralegal to join our client's esteemed law firm located in the Loop area of Chicago. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in probate and estate planning, with a keen interest in learning and growing within the legal field.This position requires working onsite. There is potential to work from home one day a week after 90 days of successful onboarding.Key Responsibilities:Support multiple attorneys with drafting, preparing, and filing legal documents such as wills, trusts, pleadings, motions, petitions, and guardianship applications.Handle probate and estate planning matters by collecting and analyzing information relevant to probate proceedings, including asset inventories and valuation reports.Researching laws, regulations, and case law related to estate planning and probate.Liaising with clients, court clerks, and other parties involved in probate proceedings to manage and track the status of estates and trusts.Maintaining a calendar system to track deadlines, court dates, and appointments.Organizing and preparing estate planning binders.Assisting with trust funding (preferred but not required).Providing support in real estate and corporate law (bonus but not required).Managing billables with an annual target of 1460 hours.Qualifications:1+ years of experience with a paralegal certificate or 3+ years of recent experience in a similar role.Demonstrated familiarity with the abovementioned probate and estate planning responsibilities while supporting multiple attorneys in a busy US law firm.Strong organizational and time management abilities.Strong written and verbal communication skills with the highest attention to detail and accuracy.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook.Willingness to take assessment testing for WPM score and software proficiency.#ProbateParalegal #LegalJobs #ChicagoJobs #EstatePlanning #ParalegalCareers #LHH #lhhLEGAL #HiringNow #LetsChatSoon
