Job ***** Lighting Services Engineer / Distribution Specialist***** Montgomery , ALJob **Utility Client is seeking a qualified Engineer or Distribution Specialist with a strong technical background to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in engineering, distribution, or transmission, with a preference for those with prior utility co-op experience. This role requires independent work, strong organizational skills, and the ability to handle fieldwork in various weather conditions.Key *Perform distribution system assessments and lighting design as needed.Utilize utility-specific programs and Microsoft Office tools for reporting and documentation.Conduct fieldwork, including walking on uneven terrain and working in varying weather conditions.Use basic tools (e.g., hammering stakes) for field operations.Communicate effectively with team members, stakeholders, and customers.Manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.* Engineering or other technical degree preferred.Utility co-op or distribution/transmission experience is highly desirable.Experience with utility lighting design is a plus.Skills & **Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Above-average proficiency in Microsoft Office and utility-specific computer programs.Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (car or truck required).Physical capability to work in extreme temperatures and walk on uneven terrain.
