MUST BE A US CITIZEN TO APPLYJob Title/Series /Grade: Mechanical /Electrical/Electronic Engineer GS-08XX-12/13Pay Range: $83,854 - $109,011 per yearWork Schedule: Full-TimeAppointment Type: PermanentService: CompetitiveLocation: NAVFAC ATLANTIC,Norfolk, VADuties:You will plan, implement, modify, administer and evaluate software and systems.You will develop and modify systems, including 2D graphics creation, Tag Database generation, report development, computer setup and configuration, startup services including field setup and checkout, troubleshoot and operator training.You will oversee the development and implementation of control engineering system standards.You will provide information on status of control system networks and infrastructure.Qualifications:Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience as a professional civil engineer at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Providing professional structural engineering products, services, and consultation with facilities planning, design, construction, and maintenance;2) Ensuring planning, design, and construction are completed in accordance with specifications, criteria, policy, industry codes and standards; 3) Performing design analyses and calculations for structural projects; and 4) Developing complex designs and analyses utilizing advanced structural engineering software. NOTE: This information must be fully supported in your resume.Education Requirement:Bachelor's Degree (or higher) in Mechanical/Electrical/ Electronic Engineering; ORCurrent registration as an Engineer Intern (EI), Engineer in Training (EIT), or licensure as a Professional Engineer (PE) is required for the GS-13 Level, OR Evidence of having successfully passed the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) examination; ORSuccessful completion of at least 60 semester hours of courses in the physical, mathematical, and engineering sciences and in engineering that included the courses specified in the basic requirements under paragraph A.Successful completion of a curriculum leading to a bachelors degree in an appropriate scientific field, e.g., engineering technology, physics, chemistry, architecture, computer science, mathematics, hydrology, or geology, may be accepted in lieu of a bachelors degree in engineering, provided the applicant has had at least one year of professional engineering experience acquired under professional engineering supervision and guidance.Conditions of Employment:Must have a Bachelor's Degree (or higher) in Mechanical/Electrical/Electronic Engineering from an Accredited College or University.Must be a U.S CitizenThis position requires a Secret Clearance.Overtime may be required occassionally.Incumbent must file annually a Confidential Statement of Affiliation and Financial Interest, OGE-450Benefits:Work/Life balance / Flexible Work ScheduleTelework Eligible (According to Agency policy)Recruitment/Relocation/Student Loan Repayment Incentives (May be authorized to eligible new hires)Health, Dental, VisionRetirement and Thrift Savings AccountPaid Time Off- Federal Holidays
