Lab Testing Technician at MADE LaboratoryMADE Laboratory is looking for a Lab Testing Technician"”someone who knows the ins and outs of apparel decoration, thrives on problem-solving, and loves geeking out over quality and process. This isn't a production job, but your 5+ years of hands-on experience with screen printing, heat transfer, DTG, and embroidery will be used daily in testing, analyzing, and improving the way apparel is decorated across the industry.What You'll Be DoingLab Testing & EvaluationPut apparel decoration methods to the test using the latest equipment in a state-of-the-art, climate-controlled labEvaluate samples for durability, wash-fastness, color accuracy, and print qualityExperiment, document, and troubleshoot processes to help brands and suppliers improve their productsData & ReportingCapture test results, document findings, and create reports that help companies make real improvementsTake high-quality photos of test samples for documentation and reportingIndustry Impact & Continuous LearningStay ahead of the curve by participating in MADE Lab's industry events, workshops, and testing projectsCollaborate with some of the biggest names in the apparel industry to refine and innovate decoration techniquesQualifications and SkillsExperienceMinimum of 5 years of apparel decoration experience, including screen-printing, heat-transfer, direct-to-garment printing and embroiderySkillsProficiency in various apparel decoration techniques, including screen-printing, heat-transfer, direct-to-garment printing, and embroideryAbility to pass a color testAttention to detail: A keen eye for subtle differences in color and textureAbility to follow written instructions and standard operating procedures (SOPs)Proficient in data entry and documentation in a Mac environmentStrong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneouslyAbility to communicate effectively with team members and supervisorsWho's a Great Fit?You've run a print shop (or a department) and can spot a bad print from across the roomYou love testing, troubleshooting, and figuring out what makes a process betterYou're meticulous and can follow standard operating procedures like a proYou actually enjoy screen printing and garment decorationWho Won't Work?You just want a job"”this is for people who care about the craftYou hate following procedures and think "close enough" is good enoughYou aren't flexible"”this is a lab role, but things change fast, and we need problem-solversYou won't take out the trash"”we all pitch in when neededHow to apply?We don't just want a resume"”we want to see your skills in action.
