Senior E&S Underwriter - Midwest

The E&S Habitational Underwriter position will provide the opportunity for personal and career growth through mentorship, engaging projects, personalized training, and opportunities for internal and external networking to expand your influence.Key ResponsibilitiesEstablish and shape our presence in the E&S lines market.Quote and release new E&S business referred by underwriting algorithms or exceeding user authority thresholds.Analyze and approve policy changes, ensuring compliance with guidelines and regulations.Stay updated with E&S state insurance regulations and ISO rules within your territory.Maintain open, transparent communication with team members and partners.Monitor E&S portfolio via reports, audits, and inspections.Support marketing efforts.Complete special projects and assignments.Travel as necessary (Basic Requirements5+ years of E&S underwriting/insurance experience (habitational experience preferred).Strong knowledge of E&S insurance products, coverages, and underwriting principles.Bachelors degree or equivalent education/experience preferred.Retail agency relationship preferred.Curiosity, hardworking, self-accountable, positive attitude, humble, and fun.Open to sharing and receiving opinions.Passion for acquiring, retaining, and sharing knowledge.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.Must be located in the Midwest, preferably Chicago, IL.Desired Skills and ExperienceE&S Property Underwriting Experience Habitational Experience Go-getter mindsetCommunication Skills
