W2 roleJob ***** Chassis/Steering Design EngineerLocation : Saline, MIType : 12+ Months (long-term contract)**Chassis Design is seeking a motivated and collaborative engineer to work on various chassis functions for the projects under development and already in production. Chassis design division is responsible for suspension/axle, frame, tire/wheel, shifter, steering wheel, steering system, brake system and controls. A chassis design team member has an opportunity to work on a variety of chassis systems over time.We have current opportunities to work in the Body-on-Frame truck group as well as in unibody group responsible for Sedan, SUV and Minivans. The position will report to the Sr Manager of the group.What you'll be doingCoordinate model life management for Chassis systems of Passenger car - Sedan, SUV, and Minivan models, focusing on the *Arrange technical documentation, drawings, and parts lists updates based on vehicle change points or external group requestsPerform regulation and certification confirmation activitiesLead communication between design, supplier, and project management teams as neededMonitor North America chassis field issues and warranty condition for chassis components, including completing root cause investigations as needed.Support benchmarking and study of cost reduction proposals with suppliers and make proposals for implementationWhat you bringBachelor of Science degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Computer Engineering (or equivalent)Excellent problem-solving skills and interpersonal skills5 years or more as a Mechanical engineer or equivalent What you may bringExperience in Chassis design and developmentExperience in CATIAIf you have the above skills/experience, please share your resume in confidence *Recruiter ** Hari***** hari@EOE
