What you would be doing:You will be responsible for comprehensive system-level design encompassing mechanical, AC/DC busbar structures, control systems layout, schematic creation, and cabinet encloser design with manufacturing considerations. Working in multiple mechanical CAD software and library management packages utilizing industry standards, including NEC, UL, and Telcordia worldwide safety and telecom standards. Engage directly with customers to define applications and requirements, facilitate design discussions, and manage deliverables. Collaborating with production on designs, prototyping, Installations, and cost reduction initiatives while also overseeing supplier management regarding prototyping, scheduling, and cost efficiency. What we require (Skills and Background):Ground-up and complete System-level design, including:Responsible for Mechanical design and Schematic designAC Power (including design of AC Distribution centers single and multi-phase systems)DC power (including design of custom DC bus works, PDU, and associated calculations)Control systems and signal design for custom controllers and alarmsShelf-level design, rack design, large-scale indoor and outdoor cabinet designDesign for manufacturabilityProficient in multiple mechanical CAD software and library management packagesKnowledge of industry standards such as NEC, Telcordia, worldwide safety, and telecom standardsCustomer interface, including topics such as applications and requirements definition, design-related discussions, deliverables, incremental design reviewsInterface with factory and production sites (including design, prototyping, cost reduction)Supplier management (such as prototyping, schedules, costing, and cost reduction)Familiar with site installationsWhat you will experience at Delta:You will be joining one of the worlds technology leaders as their presence in North America grows.
