For more information, please visit our website at .Role Description:Job Category: Operations ManagerOrtiz&Co is seeking an Expo Operations Manager to oversee and optimize all aspects and planning of show-site operations, including freight, labor, logistics, and decorating. This role ensures seamless execution, maintaining the highest standards of efficiency, organization, and customer service. The operations manager will work closely with cross-functional teams to plan and execute events.Job Requirements:Oversee and manage all operational facets of show-site execution to ensure flawless event production.Collaborate across multiple departments to align workstreams and optimize workflow efficiency.Lead key accounts, including venue owners, event organizers, and ensuring seamless coordination.Actively participate in the show planning process, taking ownership of assigned events - pre & post show.Monitor and drive performance against key performance indicators (KPIs) to uphold company standards.Ensure adherence to all Ortiz&Co operational procedures, safety regulations, and compliance standards.Demonstrate a broad understanding of all aspects of event production, including logistics, labor management, and technical setup.Develop comprehensive event implementation plans, ensuring labor allocations and show budgets align with financial goals.Effectively manage personnel and resources to maintain cost efficiency while delivering premium service.Oversee proper billing, documentation, and invoicing for labor, materials, and rental equipment, ensuring accurate revenue tracking.Collaborate with the upper management to assess labor requirements and develop staffing plans in accordance with budgets and event needs.Track and analyze workforce productivity, implementing continuous improvement strategies for operational efficiency.Maintain accurate records of disciplinary actions, grievances, and labor compliance to ensure fair and structured workforce management.Ensure compliance with industry safety regulations, fostering a culture of safety within the team.Uphold and manage labor relations and industry standards.Perform additional responsibilities as needed to support the success of Ortiz&Co events and operations.Qualifications:3 to 10 years of experience in event operations, logistics, or exhibition management, including leadership responsibilities (hiring, coaching, disciplinary oversight)Proven experience in expo customer serviceStrong leadership, customer service, and interpersonal skillsExcellent organizational and time management abilitiesAbility to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environmentStrong written and verbal communication skillsExcellent responsiveness and ability to manage multiple accountsProficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and ExcelStrong problem-solving skills and attention to detailFlexibility to work on-site and remotely as neededTech-savvy and adaptable to new systems and softwareJob Type:Full-timePay:Salary details will be discussed during the interview processSchedule:8am - 5pm - Monday to Friday (when not traveling for a show)Day shiftWhen traveling there may be occasional weekendsTravel:Ability to Travel 25% to 50%Ability to Travel abroad 1%-5%Work Location: In person only / remote work not availableBenefits:Holiday and vacation pay / Paid time offPaid parental leaveEducation & Experience:Bachelor's degree preferred; relevant experience may be considered in place of formal educationHigh school diploma, general education degree or equivalent2 years of customer service experience
