Role - Paralegal & Legal AssistantLocation - San Diego, CAJob Overview:Seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Paralegal / Legal Assistant with insurance defense experience to support attorneys in managing high-volume caseloads and ensuring smooth case progression. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in litigation support, discovery management, trial preparation, and legal research.Key Responsibilities:Assist in handling insurance defense litigation matters, including personal injury, premises liability, auto accidents, construction defects, toxic torts, and professional liability claims.Manage discovery processes, including drafting and responding to discovery requests, subpoenas, and document production.Conduct legal research using Westlaw, LexisNexis, PACER, and agency databases.Organize and maintain case files, trial materials, and deposition summaries.Qualifications:2+ years of experience as a Paralegal or Legal Assistant in insurance defense litigation.Strong understanding of civil litigation procedures, discovery, and trial preparation.Experience managing high-volume caseloads and working with multiple attorneys.Proficiency in legal research tools (Westlaw, LexisNexis) and case/document management software.
