Maimonides is an affiliate of Northwell Health and a major clinical training site for SUNY Downstate College of Medicine.Maimonides is seeking an Advanced Practice provider (APP) Manager to supervise Nurse Practitioners & Physician Assistants staffing, ensure patient safety, promote clinical excellence, and manage departmental operations. You will also provide direct clinical care of a patient caseload and oversight of staff training/ supervision. In addition, you will provide visible leadership, serve as a resource for physicians, nurse practitioners, Physician assistants and nursing staff, and develop and implement clinical programs as well as perform daily rounds with specific units and handle calls on the weekend.Staffing ManagementOversee APP staffing, scheduling, and recruitment across departmentsManage schedule changes, time-off requests, and coverage gapsProcess payroll and serve as liaison between APPs and department leadershipMaintain clinical responsibilities as an APPEducation & OnboardingDirect APP orientation, mentoring, and integrationEnsure completion of required training and competenciesLead departmental education and maintain policies/proceduresMonitor compliance with educational requirementsPerformance & QualityImplement performance improvement initiatives focused on efficiency and patient careMonitor APP care quality and evaluate high-risk clinical encountersCollaborate on regulatory inspections and risk managementOversee incident reporting complianceLeadershipPartner with AVP and Director of Advanced Practitioners on curriculum developmentProvide direct supervision and leadership to APP staffHandle complaints and ensure documentation complianceLead quality improvement processesWe require:Master's degree in Physician Assistant studies (MPAS) Health Sciences or related field.Board Certification as a PA through NCCPA (PA-C)Minimum of 3-5 experience as practicing Physician Assistant preferredLeadership or supervisory experience in an advanced practice role preferredStrong communication, supervisory and administrative skills.Completion of an accredited Advanced Practice Provider program as Physician AssistantCurrent registration of NYS licensure PAExperience in quality improvement, operations and interdisciplinary collaboration a plus.Salary $130,000-$150,000.
