Senior Practice Specialist Role (Washington, DC Office)Salary: $90,000 to $130,000 Annually | 7+ Years of ExperienceOur client, A leading international law firm is seeking a Senior Practice Specialist to join its Washington, DC office. This position provides executive-level administrative and legal practice client services to both internal and external stakeholders while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism in a fast-paced environment.Key Responsibilities:The Senior Practice Specialist will:Anticipate and address administrative requests related to managing the practice of assigned partners and their clients, ensuring tasks are handled with diplomacy, discretion, and confidentiality.Handle a wide range of administrative tasks, including managing dynamic calendars, organizing client files, arranging detailed travel itineraries, preparing meeting documents, and maintaining active agendas.Lead legal practice tasks and projects under attorney supervision, including both billable client work and non-billable administrative projects.Facilitate practice-related work processes, liaise with international teams across multiple practices, create and track budgets, and manage vendor relationships, including negotiations.Exercise advanced judgment in managing legal and administrative processes for practice groups, ensuring client service levels are met.Perform administrative duties such as billing-related tasks, time and expense entry, opening new matters, preparing client presentations, filing legal documents with courts and agencies, and overseeing various administrative projects.Collaborate with and delegate tasks to firm resources, including document production teams, client service centers, and other departments.Work overtime as required, especially during month-end and year-end periods.Key Proficiencies:Advanced expertise in English grammar, spelling, and punctuation (bilingual proficiency preferred).Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and document editing/comparison tools.Strong knowledge of timekeeping, expense processing, legal billing, and jurisdictional court/agency procedures.Advanced proficiency in document management applications.Excellent judgment and decision-making skills in managing legal and administrative tasks.Qualifications:Associate's degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred.At least 7 years of secretarial or relevant legal experience.
