GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND SCOPE OF FUNCTIONThe Senior Sales Analyst plays a pivotal part in supporting our sales team managing Pricing Strategies, Trade Spend/Promotional tracking, and related administrative functions. This role will be essential in ensuring our pricing and promotions align with business objectives and are effectively communicated and implemented.This individual will take charge of the seamless creation and day-to-day management of pricing/contracts, promotions, commissions, auto-credits, and support commercial sales team with reporting and data analytics. Their strategic insights and meticulous approach will contribute significantly to optimizing pricing structures, trade spend initiatives and commercial strategy.SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIESPricing ManagementCollaborate with the sales, marketing, and finance teams to develop competitive pricing models that maximize revenue and profitability.Maintain accurate pricing records, ensure timely updates across systems (Sage ERP, Telus TPM), sales materials, and customer communications.Monitor pricing discrepancies and resolve issues in collaboration with the sales, customer service teams.Promotional Spend ManagementTrack and Monitor Promotional spend by customer, ensuring alignment with budgets and forecasted spend.Partner with sales and marketing teams to evaluate the effectiveness of promotional spend and make recommendations for future spend.Sales SupportPrepare Monthly Sales Business Review Deck for Regional Sales Team and Level One Leadership Team.Support VP of Sales with monthly finance meeting KPI dashboard updates utilizing sales data.Assist in preparing pricing proposals for customer meetings, business reviews and presentations.Serve as a point of contact for the sales team to resolve queries related to pricing, promotions, and budgets.Analysis and ReportingContract research (claims, trends, gaps)-root cause analysis and provide solutions that are sustainable.Develop PPT decks and tools to enhance visibility into pricing and promo spend performance.EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTSBachelor's degree in business, finance, analytics, or comparable area. In lieu of bachelor's degree, candidate must have five (5) to seven (7) years of professional related experienceThree (3) to five (5) years of finance, pricing, revenue/profitability, forecasting, contract management.Three (3) to five (5) years working experience with manufacturing, or distribution.Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills.Experience managing data and analyzing resultsAnalytical and problem-solving skillsStrong skills in agility, along with the ability to pivot easily when directions and priorities changes on short notice.Strong knowledge of data reporting tools (Power BI, Excel Power Pivot, etc).
