About the Position As a Medical Assistant at CoxHealth Gastroenterology, you will play a crucial role in the day-to-day operations of our clinic. You will enjoy a consistent Monday - Friday schedule from 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, allowing you to work closely with highly-rated healthcare professionals. Your duties may include scheduling appointments, maintaining medical records, taking and recording vital signs and medical histories, preparing patients for examination, and drawing blood. Requirements Education: Graduated from a formal MA training program that included pharmacology class, anatomy/physiology, the basics of medication administration, and completion of a clinical externship, OR graduated with an accredited Licensed Practical Nurse Diploma. Experience: None required, but previous experience in a healthcare setting is preferred. Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Able to work independently and collaboratively in a team. Carry out delegated tasks as directed by supervisors or with provider oversight. Licensure/Certification/Registration Certification from a program recognized by CoxHealth (CMA, RMA, NCMA, CCMA, NRCMA, or LPN). Must obtain American Heart Association BLS within 90 days of hire. We offer a $4,000 sign-on bonus, 40 hours of front-loaded paid time off, and up to $3,000 relocation bonus if applicable. Career Ladder Bonus eligible up to $1.00.
