Assistant Project ManagerLocation: Onsite at our HQ Office in Old Saybrook, CTTelyon is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Project Manager (APM) to join our team in Old Saybrook, CT. The APM will support the Project Management team in planning, coordinating, and executing commercial and industrial (C&I) solar projects. This role requires strong organizational skills, problem-solving abilities, and a proactive approach to project execution.RESPONSIBILITIES:Assist in managing the full project lifecycle from pre-construction through closeout.Coordinate with internal teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and external stakeholders to ensure project schedules and budgets are met.Maintain project documentation, including contracts, schedules, change orders, and reports.Support procurement activities, ensuring timely delivery of materials and equipment.Monitor project progress, identify risks, and assist in implementing mitigation strategies.Assist with permitting and interconnection processes, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.Participate in project meetings, take notes, provide status updates and track action items.Support financial tracking, including budget monitoring and invoice approvals.Ensure adherence to safety protocols and company policies at all times.QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience), preferred. 1-3 years of experience in project coordination or management, preferably in the renewable energy, construction, or electrical industry, preferred. Strong understanding of project management principles and best practices.Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Project) and Procore management software.Effective written and oral communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.Knowledge of solar PV systems, permitting, and interconnection processes is a plus.These duties and responsibilities are intended to describe the general nature and scope of work expected to be performed by this position.
