You excel at:Creating safe, accurate, and cost-effective designsUtilizing software tools to ensure structural integrityWorking collaboratively within a teamStriving for continuous learning and improvementWhat You'll DoCreative Design- Develop safe and economical structures that meet project requirements and adhere to industry codes and standards. Each project is unique!Technical Analysis- Utilize proprietary software for frame, secondary, bracing, crane, mezzanine, and panel analysis to ensure structural integrity.Collaborative Approach- Work closely with the Detailing Department and other teams to effectively communicate design requirements and ensure seamless project execution.Oversight- Review and check structural drawings for accuracy.Continuous Learning- Embrace opportunities to grow and develop as an engineer, collaborating with various teams throughout the division to find innovative solutions.Qualifications, Skills, & AbilitiesMinimum Qualifications:Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering/Architectural Engineering from an ABET Accredited schoolSuccessful completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering exam prior to hire dateProficient in verbal and written communication in EnglishLegally authorized to work in the U.S. (no sponsorship required)Preferred Qualifications:Educational focus on structural engineeringBasic knowledge of building constructionUnderstanding of current building codes and standard industry practicesExperience in pre-engineered metal building systemsSpecial DemandsRegular travel and on-site visits requiredAbility to access multi-level job sites, sometimes using construction elevatorsMust wear protective equipment (safety shoes, glasses, gloves, hard hats, etc.) while on-siteFlexible schedule with hours that may extend beyond regular business daysWhy Join Us?As one of the nation's leading steel producers, we pride ourselves on fostering an environment where employees can thrive and make a significant impact.
