Position: Windows Engineer with Azure & VDI Experience Location: Remote, USADuration: Full TimeJob Summary:We are seeking a skilled Windows Engineer with expertise in Microsoft Azure and Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining Windows-based environments, managing cloud-based infrastructures, and ensuring a seamless virtual desktop experience for end users.Key Responsibilities:Windows Server Administration: Install, configure, and maintain Windows Server environments, including Active Directory, Group Policies, DNS, and DHCP.Azure Cloud Management: Deploy, manage, and optimize workloads in Azure, including Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD), Azure Active Directory (AAD), and Azure Resource Manager (ARM).Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI): Design, configure, and maintain VDI solutions, such as Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD), Citrix, VMware Horizon, or other virtualization technologies.System Monitoring & Performance Tuning: Ensure optimal performance of Windows-based environments through proactive monitoring and troubleshooting.Automation & Scripting: Use PowerShell, Terraform, or Ansible to automate deployments, configurations, and maintenance tasks.Security & Compliance: Implement security best practices for Windows systems, including patch management, vulnerability assessments, and compliance with industry standards.Backup & Disaster Recovery: Configure and maintain backup solutions for Windows servers and cloud environments to ensure business continuity.Collaboration & Support: Work closely with IT teams, developers, and end users to provide support, troubleshoot issues, and optimize system performance.Required Skills & Qualifications:5+ years of experience as a Windows Engineer or similar role.Strong knowledge of Windows Server (2016/2019/2022), Active Directory, Group Policies, and Windows security best practices.Hands-on experience with Azure infrastructure services, Virtual Machines, Networking, and Storage.Expertise in Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) or other VDI solutions (Citrix, VMware Horizon, etc.).Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for automation and configuration management.Experience with Intune, Microsoft Endpoint Manager (MEM), or SCCM for device management.Knowledge of networking concepts such as VPN, firewalls, DNS, DHCP, and load balancing.Strong troubleshooting skills for Windows environments, virtualization platforms, and cloud services.Experience with ITIL processes and ticketing systems is a plus.Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Citrix CCA-V, or VMware VCP are preferred.Preferred Qualifications:Experience with hybrid cloud environments integrating on-premise and Azure resources.Familiarity with DevOps tools (Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins) for infrastructure automation.Knowledge of multi-factor authentication (MFA), conditional access, and identity management.Experience with Windows 11 and Windows 10 Enterprise for virtual desktops.Thanks & RegardsRakesh VangalaTeam LeadBurgeon IT Services LLC.Contact: 302-439-7230Email Id: rakesh@ OR rakesh.v@Website: , LinkedIn: /in/rakesh-v-ba1422177NOTE: We respect your Online Privacy.
