Harrison Gray Search has partnered with an exciting, privately-held insurance brokerage seeking an Account Executive for Commercial Real Estate. This company is located in the greater Washington DC area.The **This role manages a book of middle-market to large Property & Casualty clients in the Real Estate sector, focusing on client retention. The Account Executive serves as the primary liaison between clients and insurers, ensuring quality service, maintaining relationships, and supporting Producers. Responsibilities include executing corporate strategies and ensuring compliance with company workflows and procedures.What Youll Be *Handle daily client servicing, including contract and coverage analysis, endorsements, issue resolution, renewals, quotes, proposals, and policy binding.Support producers and team members in securing complex new business.Manage new business and renewal workflows efficiently.Identify coverage gaps and enhancements for new business opportunities by reviewing prior policies.Prepare and submit Broker of Record (BOR) letters to carriers.Delegate tasks to ensure client needs are met effectively.Perform technical and administrative duties to maintain a high service standard.Identify opportunities to upsell and cross-sell additional coverage.Maintain expertise in policy review, coverage, program design, solvency, and surplus lines placements.Oversee remarketing and renewal activities in collaboration with the account team.Ensure client needs are met by coordinating appropriate resources and communication.Maintain accurate and up-to-date client data in EPIC per company standards and policies.What You Bring to the ****Minimum of 5 years in commercial insurance with a strong understanding of Property & Casualty coverages, underwriting, and rating concepts. Experience in real estate-related accounts is a must.Ability to manage a sizable book of business with diverse account sizes and premium volumes.Professional designations (CPCU, ARM, CIC, CRM) are a plus.Experience with compliance, forecasting, audits, and reporting.Strong presentation and client communication skills.Familiarity with industry trends, product developments, regulations, and technology.While primarily focused on account management, prior leadership or mentoring experience is beneficial.Client-facing role requiring occasional local travel.Proficiency in agency management systems, office software, and strong written/verbal communication.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with strong time-management and prioritization skills.
