Position OverviewWe are seeking a highly skilled Instrumentation and Controls (I&C) Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects involving the planning, design, and construction of engineering systems. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in I&C design activities, strong project coordination skills, and in-depth knowledge of control systems architecture, digital systems, and industry standards.Key ResponsibilitiesPlan, organize, and coordinate I&C engineering projects and multi-discipline design teams throughout the planning, design, and construction phases.Perform a comprehensive range of I&C design activities, **Control systems architecture and developmentDigital systems, PLC, and DCS configurationsNetwork design, including switches, logic development, and communication protocolsProcess controls, HMI development, and P&ID review and supportSafety Integrity Level (SIL) assessments and procurement activitiesInterpret and apply National, State, and Local codes and standards, as well as customer design requirements, to prepare electrical design and construction documents, specifications, and system descriptions.Prepare engineering cost estimates and schedule projections to support project planning and execution.Generate and review design calculations, specifications, and ensure accuracy and compliance with all project requirements.Utilize computer-aided drafting (CAD) applications to support design processes and documentation.QualificationsU.S. Citizenship is required.Bachelor of Science in Electrical (Power) Engineering or a closely related field from an accredited institution.Minimum of 5 years of experience in I&C engineering design, **Estimating and specification preparationConstruction document preparationEngineering phases related to complex industrial or nuclear projects (nuclear industry experience preferred).Comprehensive knowledge of Federal, State, and Local codes and standards, including those from the Department of Energy (DOE) applicable to electrical engineering design.Proficiency in CAD applications and other relevant engineering software tools.
