Job Title: Construction Estimator AdministratorJob Type: Full-timeReports To: Estimating Manager / Project ManagerJob Summary:The Construction Estimator Administrator supports the estimating and pre-construction process by managing bid documentation, preparing cost estimates, and coordinating with vendors, subcontractors, and project teams. This role ensures that all estimating activities are organized, accurate, and completed in a timely manner to support project bidding and budgeting efforts.Key Responsibilities:•Estimating & Bid Management:•Assist in preparing and reviewing cost estimates for materials, labor, and equipment.•Gather and analyze bids from subcontractors and suppliers.•Maintain a database of historical costs, subcontractor pricing, and material costs.•Track bid due dates and ensure timely submission of proposals.Documentation & Reporting:•Organize and maintain bid documents, RFPs, RFIs, and project specifications.•Prepare bid proposals, cost breakdowns, and estimate summaries.•Generate and update estimating reports for management review.Vendor & Subcontractor Coordination:•Communicate with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing.•Maintain an up-to-date vendor and subcontractor database.•Ensure bid packages are distributed and responses are collected efficiently.Project Coordination & Support:•Assist in value engineering efforts to optimize project costs.•Support the transition of awarded projects to the project management team.•Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and bid submission requirements.Qualifications & Requirements:•Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).•2+ years of experience in construction estimating, administration, or a similar role.•Strong proficiency in construction estimating software (e.g., PlanSwift, Bluebeam, Procore) and Microsoft Office Suite.•Excellent organizational and time management skills.•Ability to read blueprints, specifications, and construction documents.•Strong communication skills for vendor and subcontractor coordination.•Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Preferred Skills:•Experience with cost analysis and budgeting in construction.•Knowledge of industry-standard estimating techniques.•Familiarity with local building codes and permitting processes.Work Environment & Physical Requirements:•Office-based with occasional site visits.•Ability to work on multiple bids and deadlines simultaneously.•May require travel to project sites, pre-bid meetings, or vendor offices.
