Construction Manager - Civil & Geotechnical Projects***** Southeast Florida (Multiple Office Locations)About the RoleA leading engineering and consulting firm is seeking an experienced Construction Manager to oversee high-profile civil and geotechnical infrastructure projects across Southeast Florida. This role is ideal for a dynamic leader with a strong background in heavy civil construction management, particularly in water storage and conveyance infrastructure such as canals, reservoirs, pump stations, levees, and barrier walls.As part of the firms geotechnical engineering and construction management team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee construction planning, scheduling, and execution for large-scale civil/geotechnical projects.Review and manage technical specifications, construction drawings, and work plans.Lead project meetings, providing updates on progress, schedules, and potential challenges.Monitor profit and loss (P&L) management, ensuring financial and operational targets are met.Evaluate and process contractor submittals, change orders, and requests for information (RFIs).Maintain detailed time, production, and cost records, ensuring compliance with project timelines.Oversee quality control and assurance, reviewing test results for accuracy and adherence to specifications.Ensure strict compliance with health and safety protocols, implementing site-specific safety plans.Mentor and lead teams, including junior engineers, technicians, and inspectors.Qualifications & Experience5+ years of heavy civil construction management experience (more for non-degree candidates).Background in civil engineering, construction management, geotechnical engineering, or related fields.Experience leading large-scale, multi-task construction projects.Proficiency in Microsoft Office and construction management software (e.g., Trimble e-Builder).Strong knowledge of grading, road and bridge construction, utility installation, and permitting.Professional registration (PE, PG, or GC) in Florida preferred but not required.Valid U.S. drivers license and ability to travel to project sites as needed.Why Join Us?Lead impactful projects that shape the regions civil and environmental infrastructure.Competitive salary with performance-based incentives and benefits.Opportunities for career advancement, with a pathway to senior leadership roles.Collaborative and innovative work environment, supporting professional growth.📩Interested?
