The System Integration Engineering Manager will play a critical role in the transfer of next-generation laser wafering tool designs from R&D to Manufacturing Engineering, verifying the functionality and performance capabilities of prototype systems. This is a new position, which will be responsible for the hire and leadership of a team of integration and test engineers and technicians.Core Responsibilities : Build and lead a team to execute integration and verification plans, ensuring functionality and performance of prototype systems. The scope of systems will include individual wafering stations, networked stations, and complete wafer processing lines.Take on prototype ownership including planning, staffing, and qualification to support program plans.Work with stakeholders from different departments to ensure alignment on system integration plans, while building strong lines of communication.Resolve design flaws, including hardware and software interface/communication mismatches.Assess and mitigate risks associated with system integration.Capture and drive the resolution of integration issues.Assure documentation of assembly and test procedures.Assure quality of software testing and validation methods and techniques.Travel to customer sites as required to support product introduction or local site support.Maintain a safe work environment through review of proposed work, testing, and containment actions, as team members will work with lasers, ladders, platforms, and chemicals.RequirementsA Bachelors degree in an appropriate area of science or engineering, with advanced degrees preferred8 years of applicable industry experience, with 2-3 years experience in leadership rolesExperience with 3D CAD and 2D Drawings (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T)).Experience working in the integration of electrical and mechanical components, systems, and assemblies.Prototype ownership, working with systems, hardware, and software engineering teams to define and resolve integration challenges, assuring systems components are compatible in terms of electrical, mechanical, and software interfaces while delivering functional capabilities and performance levels required to fulfill applications requirements and stakeholder needs.Experience working with laser systems and laser safety is highly desired.Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.Ability to work in a clean room environment with safety gearStrong planning skills and ability to set prioritiesAbility to work effectively in a team and independently.
