Product Engineer

Position ** We are looking for a motivated Product Engineer to join our team. This role focuses on the design and development of products, with an emphasis on mold and fixture design. The ideal candidate will have strong 3D CAD skills and a collaborative, hands-on approach, working across departments to ensure product quality and timely delivery.Key *Product Design & Development: Use 3D CAD software for product design, mold/fixture creation, and creating engineering drawings and BOMs. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to conceptualize and prototype new products.Manufacturing Process Development: Develop and optimize manufacturing processes, conduct cost analysis, and create standardized operating procedures (SOPs).Process Improvement: Analyze production processes to improve efficiency and product quality while reducing costs. Implement continuous improvement methodologies, including lean manufacturing.Collaboration: Act as a liaison between engineering, quality, and manufacturing teams to ensure timelines and product specifications are met.Quality Assurance: Monitor product quality and assist in root cause analysis for defects, implementing corrective actions as needed.Work *Split between 60% office and 40% shop floor, requiring a hands-on mentality.Small, flexible company with a family-oriented, collaborative culture.Education: Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering preferred.Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a similar role, with knowledge of manufacturing processes (e.g., machining, molding, welding) and experience using 3D CAD software.Skills: Strong mechanical aptitude, knowledge of ERP software, and experience with quality systems (ISO 9001) and tools like hand/power tools.Company **A close-knit team with a casual, flexible environment.Opportunities for growth and hands-on involvement in different aspects of the business.Compensation:Salary **** $85K - $90K, with no bonus eligibility.Onsite work only (no hybrid options available).
